Ball Control

Play With Precision

“It all starts with the youth. It has to be fun for them or it makes no sense. If you have proper training, these youngsters will learn to dominate the ball and also learn about position play.” – Johan Cruyff

Can you execute what the game requires at the moment it is required? In other words, can you pass with purpose, receive with intent, dribble, shoot and head effectively. You will want to make sure that your technical skills are well-developed.

But how?

In training, you hopefully will have the chance to compete and cooperate. You will hopefully be able to apply your skills in context. That will hone you skills.

Alone you can also develop ball control skills.

Pass a ball against a wall varying the routine to work on both feet.

Juggle a ball as you create a sequence/pattern to focus upon.

Try tricks and stunts to pick the ball up or to work on fun moves.

Your technical skills are directly dependent upon you to develop them. If you want to master the game, you will want to master the ball and enjoy doing so.
